New School Year (2010-2011)

We hope every student, staff, and community member had a safe and fun summer! Unfortunately all good things come to an end, and doors to new good things open!

Tuesday, September 7, 2010 is the opening of one of those new good things. School will be starting back up. We have been working hard in the district on many new ideas and programs for our students. Teachers have been working on new ideas for teaching, support staff have been working on preparing the buildings and assisting the teachers to make sure that everyone is successful!

River Rouge High School will have a new feel this year. New Tech High is here and is going to offer so many new opportunities to our 9th and 10th graders! This is not limited to just the 9th and 10th graders though, many of the ideas in New Tech High will overflow to the 11th and 12th graders as well! Dr. Gibson and her staff are excited to show off their hard work to everyone!

Sabbath has become a true Middle School for the new school year. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can expect to have a great year at Sabbath. Mr. Cox and his staff are looking forward to working with the students and community to help our students be the best that they can be!

Ann Visger is welcoming a new principal, Dr. Larry Latimore. Dr. Latimore recently joined the district, but has hit the ground running to make sure he is up to speed and ready for students. We all wish Dr. Latimore, the students, and the staff of Ann Visger much success this year!

If you have not registered your child for school yet please come by the district offices in the High School so that your child is ready to succeed!
