Greetings from the Sabbath Middle School Community! We are embarking upon a new and exciting school year! There are so many wonderful things happening at Sabbath that are generating excitement among us all!

The Sabbath staff of teachers and support staff are very dedicated to our students and our families. We work together to ensure a quality education for all children who walk through our doors. We have a collaborative and highly qualified staff and we will be able to present many opportunities to support your children.

During our regular school day, we provide rigorous instruction in English, Math, Social Studies and Science. We are able to provide Physical Education, Band, Technology, and Art instruction. Teachers in the special areas work closely with classroom teachers so that various content areas are integrated.

Beyond the school day, students have extra time to visit the library to participate in after school programs sponsored by Wayne Metro Community Action Agency’s Project Achieve. Through a Title I School Improvement Grant we have been able to really enhance our technology resources. Our teachers will be learning new innovations and therefore instruction will begin to look a little different in many classes. We are definitely moving forward in the digital world! Our school offers three state of the art I-Mac computer labs, multiple Smart Boards, as well as two laptop carts and 20 new I-pads.

I am excited about our school year! I so enjoy seeing the wonderful faces of our children every day. And it is an honor to work with such a caring staff! I believe that Sabbath Middle School is really on track to do wonderful things. We are taking some giant steps to help us grow from good to great! We welcome you to our school!
